A Little More About Your Wedding Photographer

Tyrone Singletary

How did you start out in photography?

I started photography early in my collegiate career in 2003 taking pictures at campus events and parties, eventually making a name for myself as the main photographer on campus. From there, my base expanded, getting into nightlife, bigger/larger events and eventually into Wedding Photography in 2012.  I still take on events outside of Weddings to this day.  You can find more of my events and other works at Alchemist-Photography.com.

What is the best wedding planning advise you have for a couple?

Time management! Make sure you pad your times so that you can do everything that you want to do.  Coordinate with everyone that will need your time that day (ie Planner and Photographer).  Make sure you delegate tasks so that you don't have to worry about anything.

What is the best day-of advise you have for a couple?

Relax and have fun! Let your emotions hang out.  The day is going to go by faster than you think so take the time to soak it all in when you can.

What marriage advice do you have for couples?

Never go to bed angry.  Make sure you talk about everything, no matter how hard the topic may be to talk about!  Communication is the key.

What's your relationship with Shane?

That's my man!  More than just a business partner; he's a really good friend. More like a brother not just to me, but all of my family.  We wouldn't have it any other way.  As a business partner, I think Shane is perfect for me.  We sometimes have different thoughts which makes the dynamic of creating a meaningful experience for our clients both in-person and in their photos.

What do you do when you're not photographing?

Chasing my toddler around the house.  Enjoying the finest wines that Wegman's has to offer.  I've come to enjoy collecting vinyls to listen to while I'm editing.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Striving and continuing to be one of the premiere photographers in the area!
